Zeplin, derived from the word Zeppelin (it seems that many products like to use the Zeppelin airship for their logos), was designed by four talents from Istanbul. Zeplin for Mac is an efficient platform that facilitates the handoff and communication between designers and developers, allowing users to annotate product designs and add Style Guide comments. It also provides basic team collaboration features. Through plugins, designers can import Sketch artboards, either individually or in bulk, into Zeplin projects for developers to implement business functionalities and frontend interactions. Currently, the software only supports Sketch, while the other major design tool, Photoshop, is said to be in the pipeline for support, although no updated version has been released yet.
Software Features
Designers' and Developers' Delight
Zeplin is user-friendly for professionals. By creating a project, you can see that the software supports Android, iOS, and Web environments. Additionally, developers offer an experimental Mac OS X software development environment.
Annotation and Style Guide
As a project member, you can easily access the project through the software or web version to annotate designs (add notes, communicate with others about the product), and designers can create Style Guides that include font styles, color compositions, icon examples, and common spacing.
Efficient Collaboration Mechanism
As a team collaboration tool, Zeplin allows team members to participate in the entire design review process. Project creators can simply enter the email addresses or Zeplin usernames of their colleagues to send invitations. Even if the current work environment is not Mac, you can still participate in the work through the Web App.
