Newbie Guide
1. Start by collecting items from your home and the vehicle after spawning. The vehicle contains weapons.
2. Build a small shelter (you won't have enough wood for a large one), craft two storage boxes, empty your inventory (keeping a weapon), and venture out. You'll find a crashed plane (as per a forum post by a level 41 player, it appears daily with supply drops). Defeat the few zombies there and freely loot the area.
3. Now a wealthy and influential player, aim for the military bases. You'll need ID cards (A, B, C, and who knows how many more) to access them. An A card opens the A base, and so on for the other cards. Gradually progress from there.
4. Return to manage hunger and thirst. Food restores hunger and a small amount of health. Don't discard empty bottles; once you craft a rainwater collector, you can fill them with water. Hunting animals and roasting the meat at home will make it more delicious; roasting requires fire, which can be made with wood.
5. Feel free to loot NPC houses, but avoid taking items from occupied homes.
6. Don't fear the zombie hordes; store your items in boxes and log off. Upon returning, you'll only lose some walls.
